Degus are small and cute. They are not very expensive pets.
But be careful with degus tails. They can break off. and not grow back. To keep a degu's tail safe do not touch the degu's
tail at all. If you are getting or have a degu you should get an other degu.
Degus do not like being alone. Degus need dust baths. Let the degus stay in the dust bath long
enough to go pee. That is the point of the dust bath. Change the degu's water every day.
You can't feed your degus just anything. Here are things you can feed your degus:
seeds, grains, hay dandelion treats.
